Remote Pacific liveaboard diving
Sail from Puntarenas aboard Sea Hunter to Cocos Island National Park, a
UNESCO World Heritage Site far offshore. Current expeditions run 11 or 14
days on fixed dates, with a 32–36-hour ocean crossing each way.
Diver requirements
Cocos is not a beginner destination. Most dives are deeper than 18 m/60 ft,
currents and visibility change quickly, and the divemaster decides who may
join each dive. Bring certification valid to recreational limits; advanced
skills, deep-diver training and at least 25 hours of experience are strongly
recommended. The operator also says certification proof must support diving
to the recreational limit, so your exact certification must be reviewed.
A dive computer and evacuation-capable dive insurance are mandatory.
Life aboard
The standard 11-day expedition includes cabin accommodation, meals, snacks,
non-alcoholic drinks and beer aboard, divemasters, seven diving days, 12 L
tanks, weights, and air or unlimited Nitrox fills for certified divers.
Rental equipment, training, transfers, park fees and specialty support cost
extra or require advance reservation.
Arrive in Costa Rica at least one night before departure. Do not schedule an
international flight on the day Sea Hunter returns, because ocean and port
delays are possible. Adventure Inn shore nights must be booked separately
unless your written package states otherwise.

Important notes
- Fixed sailings, cabins and diver approval require advance confirmation
- This expedition is unsuitable for inexperienced divers.
- Dive-specific evacuation insurance is mandatory.
- Final dive participation is always at the divemaster's discretion.
- Strong currents, deep profiles and remote evacuation increase risk.
- Arrive at least one night before and do not fly on return day.
- Marine sightings are never guaranteed.
Itinerary

Sail to Puntarenas and transfer to the designated hotel.
