A compact overnight trip to Tortuguero

Shared bus and boat transportation crosses the Caribbean lowlands and
waterways to Pachira Lodge, with a breakfast stop along the way.
The package includes one night, the listed meals, bilingual guide service
and return transport to San José or an available intermediate stop.

Village, beach and canals

On day one, visit Tortuguero village, the beach and the Sea Turtle
Conservancy museum area. At dawn on day two, take a guided boat through
Tortuguero National Park's canals, when the forest is often especially
active. Animals are wild, so no sighting is guaranteed.

Meals and exclusions

Listed inclusions are breakfast en route; lunch and dinner at the lodge;
breakfast on day two; and lunch during the return transfer. The operator may
replace an en-route meal with a snack or light boxed meal. National-park
admission and the museum donation are additional.

From July through October, an optional regulated night tour may be available
to observe nesting green turtles. It costs extra, has strict rules and never
guarantees a turtle encounter.
