Land & Boat Transfer to Tortuguero
Travel one way from Adventure Inn to Tortuguero by shared road shuttle and boat, with your luggage and coordinated connections.
One booking for the road-and-boat journey
Tortuguero has no road connection for the final leg. This service combines
an early shared shuttle from the San José area with the boat segment into
Tortuguero, allowing you to travel with your luggage without arranging the
two portions separately.
What to expect
The overland route crosses the Caribbean side of Costa Rica before reaching
the departure dock. Transfer to a covered or open passenger boat for the
final water journey through lowland waterways. Wildlife may appear along
the route, but this is transportation rather than a dedicated wildlife tour,
and sightings are never guaranteed.
The published schedule lists daily service, generally leaving toward
Tortuguero around 6:00 a.m. and arriving around 11:00 a.m. Adventure Inn's
existing pickup field is 5:35 a.m.; confirm the exact hotel pickup, dock,
boat and final drop-off before departure.
Choose the correct endpoint
Tortuguero village and surrounding lodges do not all share the same dock.
Confirm whether the service ends at the village, a main dock or your lodge,
and arrange any additional boat if needed. The reverse route and connections
toward Arenal or Puerto Viejo are also subject to confirmation.
