Pacuare River Rafting with Onward Transfer
Raft 30 km of Class III–IV Pacuare whitewater, then continue to San José, La Fortuna or the southern Caribbean.
Turn a travel day into a Pacuare rafting day
Start in the San José area, La Fortuna or Costa Rica's southern Caribbean,
raft approximately 30 km of Class III–IV whitewater, and finish the day in
a different one of those regions. Your luggage stays securely at the
rafting base while you are on the river, so you can continue your itinerary
without returning to your starting hotel.
What to expect
After the early pickup, breakfast is served at the rafting base near
Siquirres. Continue to the river, receive a helmet, life jacket and paddle,
and practice commands and safety procedures with your guide before launch.
Everyone paddles through a long rainforest route that includes strong
Class III–IV rapids.
Back at the center, shower, change and eat lunch before boarding the vehicle
to your confirmed destination. The published service area includes San
José, Puerto Viejo and La Fortuna town. Hotels outside central La Fortuna
may require an extra payment, and exact hotel coverage must be confirmed.
Minimum age is 12. You should be able to paddle, follow commands
quickly and tolerate a full day with strenuous whitewater and road travel.
Plan the transfer carefully
Reserve only after Adventure Inn confirms your pickup hotel, final hotel,
luggage arrangements and any location surcharge. River levels and road
conditions can change the route and arrival time, so avoid scheduling a
fixed evening connection.
